I love Fall. It means cooler weather, college football, and the holidays are right around the corner. I always love seeing the images of pumpkins, hay bales, and colorful mums on the front porch. I always have big dreams of sprucing up the front porch, and then time gets away from me and it's time to decorate for Christmas. (Can anyone else relate?). But, it's not too late! Here are a few ideas for "BOO"sting your curb appeal:
1. Give the front door a fresh new look by painting it or restaining it. Opt for a classic color for a timeless look if you're thinking of putting your house on the market anytime soon. A black front door can be quite stiking if it goes with the look of your home. Other colors to consider include a dark gray, navy blue or red.
Add color through fall flowers or plants. Mums and pansies come in a variety of colors so you can go bold or moody. Sunflowers and crotons make a beautiful fall accent and a good first impression.
3. Refresh your doormat. Fall is the perfect time of the year to pick a seasonal mat like "Hey there, Pumpkin!" Have fun with it! Layer it on top of a buffalo plaid mat for added style (check out Ruggables for a mat that can be easily washed).
4. Freshen up the flower beds with fresh mulch or pine straw. Remember to pull any weeds before laying it down. And consider adding fall annuals to add another pop up color.
5. To finish it up, add in the accents. Make your front porch Instagram-worthy by adding a fall wreath, lanterns with candles, or new house numbers for a complete fall refresh.
